White House officials are now saying that the woman killed in Sunday’s firefight in Pakistan was specifically used as a human shield for Osama bin Laden.
Bin Laden was killed in the attack, and his body was taken by US Navy SEALs for confirmation.
At a press briefing Monday afternoon, National Security Advisor John Brennan confirmed the information about the woman.
Brennan called bin Laden’s death a “defining moment” in the ongoing War on Terror.
