“Fringe” made its timeslot debut on Friday last night, to see its ratings improve on its last new outing. The show drew a 1.9 demo rating, near the high-end of its season range. The show led its hour in the demo as well. This is great news for “Fringe” fans; Fox exec Kevin Reilly said if the show maintained 80% of its previous ratings the network would be satisfied; instead it outdrew its former slot. Combined with “Kitchen Nightmares,” Fox won Friday in the adult demo.

Most of Friday’s other shows were repeats or unscripted programming. “Medium” aired its series finale after seven years; it drew a 1.6 in the demo.
