Singer Shania Twain, 45, is engaged to Swiss executive Frédéric Thiébaud, 40 in perhaps the ultimate act of “the best revenge is living well.”

People Magazine reports that the couple has been engaged for a couple months now.

Twain went through a split in 2008 when music producer Robert “Mutt” Lange left her after their 14-year marriage.

Lange and Thiébaud’s then-wife, Marie-Anne, had been having an affair.

Twain mentioned her relationship in an open letter to her fans in August 2009. In the letter, Twain explained that Thiébaud was “a dear friend and true gentleman” and he had “been the most constant companion and support for both (her son) Eja and I. And having gone through the suffering of his family splitting apart at the same time and under the same extreme circumstances, he understands me better than anyone.”

The specific date of the wedding wasn’t reported but Twain is going to host “Why Not? With Shania Twain,” a show about coping with life after divorce, on Oprah Winfrey’s new TV network, OWN, this spring.
