“The Fighter” was the breakout of the 68th Golden Globe nominations, snagging nominations for Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, two Best Supporting Actress nominations, to go along with a Best Picture Nomination and a Best Director Nomination. This should give the film momentum towards the Oscars, where Christian Bale is considered a front-runner for an award.
