DALLAS — At first glance, The Rocketboys don’t look much different from when Blast talked to them last November. They’re still sporting skinny jeans, scruffy hair and care-free attitude. But as we caught up with them at The Loft in Dallas on Friday, it became apparent that The Rocketboys have been growing steadily in skill and popularity over the last year. The band has been touring and performing regularly in addition to having songs featured on such television shows as Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Teen Mom, The Buried Life, and most recently, The World of Jenks.

The Rocketboys continuing success has not come easily, especially considering the band works without a label. “As long as we have each other, awesome fans and good opening acts, we aren’t stopping.”

“Wellwisher” is the title of their latest EP, which dropped in November. When asked about the title of the album, lead singer Brandon Kinder said that the nature of how the album came to be had a lot to do with its name. They recorded the EP on the road, inviting friends and fellow musicians to contribute as they traveled.

“We would play at a show and then record,” said Kinder. “Our album title has a brotherhood theme,” said Kinder. “It’s all about encouraging someone in their time of need.”

Make sure to catch The Rocketboys on tour for the next three weeks, and if you can’t do that, pick up Wellwisher on iTunes.
