The Publisher of The National Enquirer said Monday it plans to file for bankruptcy protection in about two weeks
The Boca Raton, Fla.-based company also publishes Men’s Fitness and Star magazines and said its publishing operations will continue.
The company has a prepackaged plan for Chapter 11 and hopes to emerge within 60 days.
American Media will offer its bondholders partial ownership in the company in exchange for debt forgiveness.
No layoffs were announced.
