So you got your copy of Kinectimals already huh? Can’t wait to virtually pet that baby tiger? You may want to think again.

Reportedly, Gamestop has begun issuing phone calls to customers who were legally shipped early copies of Kinectimals, reporting that playing the title before its November 4 release date are being locked out of Xbox Live.

According to a tipster, those who try to play the game before the fourth will be locked out until then, and the retailer is not issuing any form of compensation.

Let this be a lesson — get a real animal.
