Zac Snyder will direct the forthcoming installment in the “Superman” film franchise. Snyder has previously directed comic book adaptations “300” and “Watchmen” to mixed results.
The film is being produced by Christopher and Jonathan Nolan, who also wrote a treatment for the story. Nolan has directed the recently resurgent “Batman” franchise.
“Superman” will be released in summer 2012; there is no star announced yet.
