A very curious couple of questions appeared in a recent Playstation survey to customers. The survey asks if you think a Resistance 3 game is in development and then follows with an inquiry as to how likely you would be to buy said title. Many consider the existence of a Resistance 3 to be forgone conclusion, however, this survey would seem to shed some doubt on the subject.
Resistance is a great franchise, so we hope to see it continue. It would be a strange time for Sony to bail on one of their best games, since the hardware has finally started to pick up some serious momentum. I think most people would agree that, if the Resistance series had a time-line that skewed a little bit later, it would likely have enjoyed much more popularity. On the flipside though, we did just hear about Killzone 3 and Socom 4, so maybe Sony thinks that pimping 3 big shooters all at once is a little but of overkill. We will let you know more as it becomes available.
