As summers go, they’re usually slow in terms of AAA releases, but Microsoft and Ruffian Games will release “Crackdown 2,” the open-world action game July 7 exclusively for Xbox 360.

The sequel was an overwhelming hit, though at least some of its success is attributed to the inclusion of the Halo 3 beta in it, and its sequel, simply named “Crackdown 2” looks to be just as appealing. But you’ll decide July 6 when it arrives in North America.

Along with the announcement Ruffian Games released a “Fun With Friends” video documentary for the game, letting you know, from the mouths of developers, why its multiplayer will be worth it.
