Robert Bowling, Infinity Ward’s community man, better known by his online name Fourtwozero, Tweeted minutes ago, announcing the release of a patch for Xbox 360 and PS3 versons of Modern Warfare 2, eradicating the painful care package glitch and improving the game slightly.
From the mouth of Bowling:
– Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
– Fix for “infinite care package” exploit.
– Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
– Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
– Fixes to prevent various XP hacks (including the prevention of negative XP)
When a game is as popular as Modern Warfare 2, there will always be those who look to exploit it, by I’m glad Infinity Ward is taking such a determined interest in keeping the battlefields fair and even.

its so much better playing online now without the lame cp glitching,1887 wankers and cp running douches,the was game ruined before with abit more balancing and it could be spot on, shame they didnt sort all this before the released the bloody game.
nothing to tone down the OMA noob tube spammers? I’m fine with the weapon being strong but when you can get almost instant full ammo on it with OMA pro…. makes search and destroy on maps like invasion completely frustrating. People put in all their time into figuring out where to aim to kill everyone right at the start instead of actually having a match.
Also would like to see some fixes on claymores (they should be strong I agree, but they are currently killing well outside their intended range and arc). And finally also a fix for some FMJ inconsistencies (I’ve been killed through 3 brick walls at once, but something as simple as a bookshelf can block fmj rounds)
Oh, and of course the lag… been killed several times when on my screen I’m out of the way in cover but on the enemy’s screen I’m still a target
Glitchers are ,ostly the n00bs who arent good enough at the game to play it correctly. So if you were a glitcher just get a lil pratice and step your game up legit!!
oh one more thing that needs fixed… the people that artificially create lag to teleport around
