Majesco today announced a sequel to 2004’s Greg Hastings Paintball, set to release for Xbox 360,PlayStation 3 and Wii later on this year.

The publisher said Greg Hastings Paintball 2 will arrive this September for the aforementioned home consoles and will build upon the original. The game will include single player and multiplayer and will take gamers to real-world paintball fields. Best of all, the game will introduce a new game mechanic called “Cheat Meter.”

This meter will allow you to wipe paint (anyone who plays paintball knows this term) and remain undetected, that is, until you fill your meter.

“From day one the goal was to bring FPS fans around the world the most exciting and realistic paintball experience ever created in Greg Hastings Paintball 2,” said Greg “Red” Hastings. “Every detail from the latest paintball weapons and gear to the hottest international fields was crafted to place gamers in the most insane paintball battles and match the intensity of a real combat experience.”

Super X Studios are developing the title and additional, post-release downloadable content has already been announced for the title. A little premature? Maybe.
