When a game sells a million copies and it’s not named Halo or Call of Duty, it’s kind of a big deal.

Platinum Games’ Bayonetta, a unique game brimming to the top with action and sexiness, recently sold its 1 millionth copy, vaulting it into the land of the highly-esteemed, and making us clamor for a sequel.

This success must feel odd for Platinum Games, as the studio has done much of its work on poorly-selling games for the Wii.

The transition to Xbox 360/PS3 was a wise one for the studio, and a system-preference we expect the studio to continue in the future.

Who’s played Bayonetta? Do you like it? Happy to see it succeed?
