A Philadelphia-area attorney is taking Microsoft to court over the company’s existing Xbox Live currency, which he claims exists to “unjustly enrich” the console manufacturer.

Samuel Lassoff, the attorney, contends that Microsoft deliberately set up the points system so that users must purchase points at increments above what it necessary for purchases with remainders not equaling enough to purchase additional content.

The attorney claims that this practice is a “fraudulent handling” of Xbox Live accounts and is so filing a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft.

Hell, I’m all for this. I’ve had a minimal remainder of MS Points connected to my account for ages now. Those are points I purchased and points I cannot spend on what I want!
