I’ll just lay a smidgen of bias out on the table before I proceed.

I love Rare-developed games, and so today’s news brightens my smile and gladdens my soul, or something like that.

The studio today said that after Perfect Dark releases on the Xbox Live Arcade next month, the hits won’t stop coming, and is all about re-releasing its games in the future.

Here’s what Rare boss Mark Betteridge said:

“There’s nothing to announce yet after Perfect Dark, but we’ve got over 25 years of IP to dip into so there’s no shortage of possibilities.”

Now, I know it’s extremely hopeful to even wish for, but I’m still holding out for 007 Goldeneye to come to XBLA. With online multiplayer and re-done visuals, how could you not want it?

I have to agree about being hopeful on seeing Goldeneye 007 on XBLA. To Rare the game will deffinetly make money, to gamers it would be a real treat on the eyes seeing a re-make just like perfect dark is. Plus Goldeneye Multiplayer? How can people NOT want it on 360??? The only thing that still bugs me is Nintendo botching up the whole idea of even letting this game see daylight. The isn’t (to me) a system to carry such a great game anymore, if they wanna port the N64 version on there “Wii Ware” fine, but seriously, let us 360 owners who grew up with an N64 see hope on a remake on XBLA.
