At the Major League Gaming event in Orlando over the weekend, the famous and powerful Triggers Down team saw victory near inches away, but were denied, on account of a glitched out Xbox.

As the below video clearly shows, Heinz of Triggers Down, with all four members of enemy team Classic down and out, was on his way to capture the flag, when all sorts of crazy happened.

What happened was simple: the host’s Xbox 360 froze up and dropped the connection for all players, though at the worst possible time for team TD.

Major League Gaming tournament rules say “any equipment malfunction during a game is grounds for a replay of the round,” and in the replayed match Classic handed TD a forceful 5-2 smackdown.

Ouch.
