In a recent interview with Blast and other reporters, “Twilight” star Kellan Lutz revealed that there are no current plans to film the final chapter in the “Twilight” saga, “Breaking Dawn.”
The first three films have been made, but Lutz expressed the fear that if “New Moon” doesn’t get enough love from the fans, “Breaking Dawn” might never get made, leaving the saga permanently unfinished.
“We aren’t filming it,” Lutz said when asked about the progress on “Breaking Dawn.”
“It’s a real bummer,” he said, “because when we did ‘Twilight,’ we always hoped to continue on with the book series. Like you saw with ‘Aragon’ — the fans didn’t support it enough, so they didn’t make the sequel, which would suck.”
Some may find it hard to believe the the cultural phenomenon that is “Twilight” wouldn’t have enough fan power to propel the series to completion. But with no word from the studio and no actors under contract, “Breaking Dawn” falling through could become a real possibility.
“There’s no word on ‘Breaking Dawn.’ They said goodbye to all the crew in Vancouver,” Lutz said. “Like, a real goodbye.”
The actors of “Twilight” were under contract for the first three films in the saga. But with “New Moon,” the cast expanded, enveloping several big-name actors, including Michael Sheen and Dakota Fanning. Suddenly, due to the popularity of the series, the actors of “Twilight” have rapidly filling schedules and less time to wait on studio decisions.
“Between ‘New Moon’ and ‘Eclipse’ I did three films,” Lutz said. “Us actors are having offers for tons of stuff now. To get the…actors that are a part of this — the Volturi, the wolves, the Cullens — that’s a lot of actors to just say, months before we shoot, รขโฌหHey, can you guys come do this movie?’ Because we don’t have contracts for it. So nothing’s telling us, you know, ‘Hold these dates.’ And there’s only a small time frame that we could shoot in…because of weather. So I hope they make their mind (up) after ‘New Moon’ comes out.”
In the end, Lutz said that it’s all up to the fans.
“We all fell in love with our characters,” he said, “all hoping that you know, we could continue on…it really matters for the fans, if they come out and support ‘New Moon.’ Because we all want to finish this baby. It’s such a part of us, and it would just seem empty not to finish the last chapter.”

I love the books, with one exception and that is Breaking Dawn. I hope they don’t make Breaking Dawn. It was a mistake that can not be undone. The least they can do is not make it into a movie.
no breaking dawn is gonna b one of the best movies there is gonna be out there..This is the best book in the twilight saga..This movie brings everything together and makes a great ending..I will be one of the sfirst to buy the movie ticket..

I totally agree with everyone. I definitely will be really upset if they do not film Breaking Dawn. I love the book series and I am just anxious to see how they transfer New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn to the big screen. Especially Breaking Dawn… they best go by the book and not mess anything up.
They absolutley positively have to have that specific book turned into a MOVIE, why else would i have read it [going on a sixth] five times already; when i have read the other 3 books about three times in a row… !!!?

i hope they make breaking dawn its the best book out of the whole series and it just wouldent make alot of sense just making the first 2 and not the least one nobody will be able to see edward and bella get marred or the baby they just have to make it.

The saga has crazy fans!!!! i have to say i was one of those people that bought there tickets 2 months before the movie hit thearters!!!and i will do the same with Eclipse and BREAKING DAWN!!!!! Breaking Dawn has to be made, it wont be right if its not, all the fans are waiting with anticipation for Eclipse, and then Breaking Dawn , its what brings the whole Twilight series together and if it’s not made THERE ARE GOING TO BE SOME VERY UPSET FANS!!!! It wouldnt be right to make the first 3 books into movies and not the fourth. it would be like reading 75% of a great book and saying that “was a great ending.” New moon topped the charts with their earnings from opening weekend and the fans are sure to go see eclipse when it comes out. and even if it wasnt as good as we all hope(which i doubt would happen) many many fans would go to breaking dawn at least out of curiosity of the ending. please do leave us hangin….make breaking dawn a movie too!!! Twi-harders will support all the movies for sure!!

The first two films were brilliant and the second has really hyped up the action. It would be such a waste not to film the last book and I would be extremely fed up (to put it nicely) if they didn’t make Breaking Dawn! If they don’t it will be because they think they can’t film it. They should attempt to rise to the challenge – not flake out of it! Come on boys & girls, get some guts, take the bull by the horns and give us the ending we deserve! I want to see Renessme, not to mention seeing Bella become the heroine (strong/protective vamp) that we all know she becomes!
They need to do the last book. What’s the point of doing all three books and not do the last one. i cant wait to see it, and the fans would want to see it too. I hope that they do it.
I agree they have to make a 4th film. Eclipse does not wrap everything up and leaves too much hanging.
If they do make it afilm I htink they should spice up the ending. They need to maek a real fight with the Volturi. The truce was a bad move. Sweet ending but no action.
I PERSONLY THINK THAT THEY SHOULD DO BREAKING DAWN INTO A MOVIE.BECAUSE BREAKING DAWN TIES THE SERIES TOGETHER..I BELIEVE THAT BREAKING DAWN IS THE BEST BOOK IN THE SERIES AND I WOULD BE THE FIRST ONE TO BUY THE TICKES TO GO AND SEE IT.
If Summit entertainment doesnt make “Breaking Dawn” into a film with all the original cast members there will be an angry mob outside of thier studios I can with certainty say that. there is nothing stopping those who do not have people to support. It is the best book and a great ending to the saga it has to be made with all the original cast memebers.

yall have to make the movie. i have to see it. i read all those books. and i m in love with them. and i love kristen, edward and jacob. i think the twilight sreies is better than harry potter. i love the books ilove the movies. i can’t wait till the breaking dawn comes. please make the movie..
