When Army of Two: The 40th Day releases in the beginning of next year, it’ll come with a game mode dubbed “Extraction.”

The gameplay component is of the multiplayer nature and will be exclusive to those who pre-ordered for the first thirty days. After that time, anyone, anywhere, with the game, can jump into the fun.

But just what the heck is “Extraction.” Since we haven’t yet spent any time with the new feature, we’ll let EA do what they do best, explain the thing in their own words. Enjoy.

Extraction is, according to EA:

A multi-player mode will pit a team of four players against a series of unique enemy waves as they move from point to point in the ruined city. Players must strategize as a unified team to combat the different forces of the 40th Day Initiative while trying to get out alive.

Sounds fun, but I love to see things in action. Hooray, a trailer!
