SEGA today confirmed rumors of an Alpha Protocol delay and officially stated that the game will indeed miss it’s 2009 deadline and instead vault into the year 2010.

The spy-type RPG was scheduled to launch later this month but is now, according to the game’s official page, arriving on the market in everyone’s favorite release frame, “Spring 2010.”

We hope SEGA and developer Obsidian have a legitimate reason for the delay, but until we hear details we’ll have to assume a swarming mass of killer-bees descended on Obsidian’s offices and prevented them from working on the title.
