Halo-heads looking for their fix can shoot up all they want next Tuesday when Bungie ships Halo 3: ODST to retail. But if slaying Covenant scum in Firefight isn’t enough for you, the original soundtrack is also debuting on September 22.
Composed by Martin O’Donnell and Michael Salvatori, this 2-CD musical score will hit retail, iTunes, and the Sumthing Else Digital Music Store alongside the game and will fit in nicely on your “video game tunes” playlist for on-the-go listening.
“I’m happy to be able to share all new compositions and recordings created for Halo 3: ODST,” said composer Martin O’Donnell. “The music reflects the new mood, new heroes, and new story of the game. I worked with the Northwest Sinfonia for the orchestral recordings and also added some nice alto sax solos and some new guitar solos. The piano sneaks back in again a few times too, but I can’t seem to help that.”
Keep it here at Blast for our continued coverage and eventual review of Bungie’s latest, Halo 3: ODST, on September 22.
