Dashboard Confessional has announced their new album, “Alter the Ending”, on Vagrant/DGC/Interscope records will be released on November 10, 2009. Famed producer Butch Walker worked with Dashboard, which consists of front man Chris Carrabba, bassist Scott Schoenbeck, guitarist John Lefler, and drummer Mike Marsh, on the band’s sixth studio album.

“Alter the Ending” is the band’s follow up to 2006’s “Dusk and Summer”, though Carrabba released an acoustic album “The Shade of Poison Trees” in 2007. The band also contributed the song, “Finishing School” to the Jennifer’s Body soundtrack which comes out this month.

Dashboard will be previewing songs on a nation wide tour later this fall. The dates begin November 7, and the band will travel across the entire US until mid-December with New Found Glory, Never Shout Never and Meg & Dia as tour support.
