If you were George Clooney, you’d probably joke about marriage too.

Most likely tired of being asked about potential engagements, the 48-year-old bachelor announced at a press conference for his latest movie, “Men Who Stare at Goats,” that he is getting married to the director, Gary Heslov.

“Grant and I are actually announcing our wedding while we are here,” Clooney said. “I don’t quite know how to answer that question, but I can read your mind again and I know what you’re thinking.”

According to People magazine, he was seen out and about with Italian TV presenter, Elisabetta Canalis. They also arrived to the Venice Film Festival together on Monday.

Despite the jokes and public dates, people just can’t resist throwing themselves at the stud. One reporter at the press conference stripped down and proclaimed, “I’m gay, George. I want you, George! Come with me, George!”

Taking it all in stride, Clooney said that some people take “a big chance, only it doesn’t really work.”

Ladies, time to dismantle the shrine.
