Cryptic and Atari today announced that registration for Star Trek Online’s closed beta has begun, and with only a “limited” amount of tokens available, you’ll want to act quickly.
Not only will those who do receive beta keys experience the game before any other Trekkie, they’ll also have the opportunity (and obligation if you ask me) to report noticed bugs to Cryptic, in an effort to make the game as great as any Spock-loving fan could hope for.
“Closed beta registration is an important step in bringing Star Trek Online to the public” said Craig Zinkievich, Executive Producer on Star Trek Online “We are looking toward the launch of our first-of-a-kind MMORPG with anticipation and excitement and we expect Star Trek Online to explode onto the scene, giving fans and gamers a Star Trek experience like no other.”
Like no other eh? I loved this summer’s blockbuster film, but that’s just me.
Anywho, the beta signup page is right over here, and the actual beta commences “sometime” later this year.
