Activision today announced that “World at War’s” third piece of DLC, “Map Pack 3,” has sold over 1 million in its first weekend of availability.

Over the course of a long weekend, August 6 thru 9, over a million of you snagged Treyarch’s third DLC release across both PS3 and Xbox 360 systems buffing the total number of paid downloads of all three expansions to over 6.5 million.

“The support and enthusiasm from the Call of Duty: World at War online community is tremendous,” said Mark Lamia, studio head of Treyarch. “The team is appreciative that so many players from around the world have continued to enjoy the game and all of the downloadable content that we have produced.”

Maybe we love killing each other again and again, and then again,or maybe our insatiable thirst for Nazi Zombie blood keeps us coming back. Either way, Activision is making boatloads of money.
