Activision/Blizzard today announced that Ozzy Osbourne, the undisputed Prince of Darkness, Black Sabbath extrodinaire, and rider of the crazy train, will be this year’s main event attraction at BlizzCon 2009.

Yes, you’ve probably seen Ozzy’s Lich King advertisement TV spot multiple times, but what better way to bring the effect home than to have the man himself, in the flesh, promoting the game at Blizzard’s own event in sunny California?

“Our goal with BlizzCon is to deliver an unforgettable weekend of entertainment, and we can’t think of a better way to close out this year’s show than having Ozzy rock the house,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “Many of us at Blizzard are lifelong fans of Ozzy’s music and we’re thrilled that he’ll be performing for all of our BlizzCon attendees..”

In case you didn’t score tickets, you probably didn’t, as they sold out in minutes, for $39.95 a live internet stream or Direct TV pay-per-view package is available so that, if Blizzard decides to announce the rumored “Cataclysm” expansion bringing two new races to WoW, you won’t miss it!!
