Publishing giant Activision today revealed that Stan Lee, co-creator of such nerd icons as Spiderman, X-Men, and Fantastic Four, will finally appear, virtually, in a video game. That video game? Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, quite fitting indeed.

The 86 year old, and a higher up at comic book publisher Marvel, will lend his voice and likeness to a secret (for now) character who’s role, as Activision promises, will be “significant to the game’s storyline,” which is all about the superhero cival war.

“I am thrilled to be making my first onscreen videogame cameo in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2″ said Stan Lee, Publisher Emeritus, Marvel Comics. “It’s such a kick to see characters that I’ve helped create come to life in the game and now I’m a part of the Marvel videogame universe!”

Look for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 this September.
