When ODST ships in September, disc 2 will contain the complete Halo 3 multiplayer experience. Really what this means is that all freakin’ 24 Bungie-made frantic locales will be yours to enjoy. No more pissing and moaning about Bungie making certain playlists that prohibit gamers lacking the DLC from entering, because, should you purchase ODST, you’ll have ’em all!
However, what we’ve got today is the first looks at the 3 final Halo 3 maps, Heretic, Longshore, and Citadel.‚ Final is a tough word to stomach, but, but, but, with Bungie promising ODST pre-orderers a token to the Halo: Reach multiplayer beta, the dudes in Washington are likely so moved on to bigger and badder things.
Heretic look familiar? That’s because it’s a reprisal of Halo 2’s “Midship.” Of the three, by image alone, “Longshore” looks fantastic. A kind of grittier “Blackout.” But hey, that’s just me. As always, click each image to enlarge and beautify.
