When “Entertainment Weekly’s” Michael Ausiello broke the news yesterday that Emilie de Ravin, who plays Claire on “Lost,” would return full-time next season, Lost theorists around the world started coming up with ideas of how this would occur.
But check out this ABC promo clip below:
Note Dominic Monaghan’s usage of “was” when referring to Charlie’s death in season four of “Lost.” Also note that this video is promoting ABC’s fall line-up.
“Lost” creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have said that the sixth and final season, in 2010, will return to the character-driven drama that characterized the first season, but does this also mean they will return to the characters featured in the first season as well? Many fans have speculated that the Jughead bomb did reboot the timeline and return the characters to the beginning of the first season again, which the return of Claire and Charlie would support.
Truth is, none of us will really know until the final season starts airing in 2010. Unless you’re Michael Ausiello. Then you probably know already.
And just when I’d almost given up on “Lost”, they give me a reason to be curious again.
It’s about time they go back to the basics.
