Sony announced today that when the PSP Go launches in October of this year, all new titles will be made available both in digital and physical form.

The recently announced PSP Go will NOT have a UMD drive and new games will be accessible only through the systems’ built in 16GB of storage but for those with PSP 2000’s and 3000’s, you’ll have an option of either digitally downloading your favorite games or picking up the box at retail, granted you’ll need a seriously large memory card to perform the former.

I wholeheartedly welcome the total digital age. Hell, it’s already happened with CD’s.‚  Video games, in physical form, while still the dominant form of distribution, are showing signs of weakness.
