It’s about time that Jump Start tapped into the Wii demographic to sell their brand, and that’s just what they did with today’s announcement of a partnership with leading education-based video game publisher Knowledge Adventure to bring “Jump Start: Pet Rescue” to the Wii.

Dubbed the first pre-school Wii game, Pet Rescue looks very accommodating to the little ones with its bright, colorful, and simplistic art style, complemented by the happy reactions of all when the cute little pets find their way back home.

I think that JumpStart has the right idea. I hope this game has the same high educational standards as their PC titles. I would love for my kids (who constantly use their free time on the Wii) to be playing a game that could actually help them learn. This would definitely make me feel better about them spending a lot of their time on a video game.

My kids LOVE jumpstart. We have the pre-k, kindergarten, and first grade editions on our computer and they play it online with our subscription. As soon as they saw this game for Wii they were VERY excited. I wish they had more games like this for Wii. It’s excellent to be able to reinforce skills they learn in school in their leisure activities. So hurry up! We’re waiting… =)
