Hayden Panettiere, star of 20th Century Fox’s summer teen comedy “I Love You, Beth Cooper,” launched a special event for the film called “Beth Cooper Moments of Truth.”

The campaign invites Americans to record videos of themselves revealing their true feelings for someone in a way inspired by the film’s protagonist Denis Cooverman and upload them to iloveyoubethcooper.com. Selected videos will be featured as television spots for the film.

Panettiere posted a series of sample “moment of truth” videos on the site, which also features a Twitter widget that allows people to post their feelings anonymously.

Promotion for “I Love You, Beth Cooper” has been geared towards getting viewers involved in the film. The trailer can also be personalized here.

“I Love You, Beth Cooper” is directed by Chris Columbus and based on the 2007 novel of the same name by Larry Doyle. It hits theaters July 10.
