Nintendo released the award winning, and altogether amazing “Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask” this morning on the Virtual Console, marking the 300th available classic title on the service.

Every single Monday for the last 2.5 years, Nintendo has diligently released one or more classic titles to the ever-growing Virtual Console, and with “Ocarina of Time” already in the ranks, fans have patiently (or not) awaited this day.

It is near impossible to shine in a week with anything Zelda in the headline, but not to be overlooked, three additional titles found their way onto DSiWare and WiiWare this Monday morning.

Art Style: PiCTOBiTS (500 DSi Points) released on the handheld download service today but what is it?‚  The basic gist of the simple title is that you’ll move colored blocks around the bottom half of the screen while more blocks rain down from above.‚  You guessed it, you’ve got to match the colors to win.

Crystal Defenders R2 (800 Wii Points) was announced back in March at GDC as part of an onslaught of Square Enix titles coming to the DSi, and this iteration is just what it sounds like.‚  You’ve got a crystal, and you must defend it. ‚ Sensible huh?

Rounding out the download possibilities is Silver Star Chess (500 Wii Points) also available on WiiWare and also very self explanatory.‚  Play chess either against the computer or a human opponent, review previous played games, alter background music, or ultimately become the next Bobby Fischer.‚  Maybe.

In case the headline didn’t blow your mind away, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask (1,000 Wii Points) hit the Virtual Console this morning, needs no introduction, and is undoubtedly being downloaded a gazillion times, lagging the servers as we speak.
