Secrets are difficult to keep in the gaming sector, and while Assassins Creed 2 is no secret, for the first time, Ubisoft came clean today, officially declaring the title and planning for a holiday-season release.

Assassins Creed 2 will bring Ezio, a new masked marauder to the experience in what Ubisoft is calling a “vast open world environment.”‚  Ezio has been betrayed by his countrymen and sets out to wreak vengeance and havoc on those who wronged him.‚  Set in Renaissance Italy, the new environment will allow for not only stunning visuals, but new gameplay elements, and a variety of missions.

“Our creative team is working hard to top the experience of Assassin’s Creed,” said Patrice Desilets, creative director at Ubisoft. “We’ve made improvements to every aspect of the game. And we’ve plunged ourselves into the stunning history of the Italian Renaissance so that we can offer fans a unique, varied and innovative Assassin’s Creed experience.”

Oh, this game is going to fabulous!!! AC1 was a total trendsetter… judging by the looks of this game, it’s going to simply improve on what was already an excellent game. I cannot understand how people call GTA4 the greatest open-world game around. AC rules!!!

Get a PS3/Wii/Xbox 360 etc for only £5 or even free from: go4it.freebiejeebies. co . uk (copy/paste and remove spaces) Sign up and complete ONE of the listed offers to qualify. I would recommend the Lovefilm trial (free) or Coral (place a £5 bet) bbc approved, I even got my hdtv from this site, don’t miss out like so many others…

the last game was definatly an open world game, and i thoroughly enjoyed. But it DID have its downsides, it was quite repetitive and glithces were frequent. Also every mission was the same idea just different characters. To improve on this game i believe that the missions will have to haev more than one way to completion, and stealth should be a bigger role in the game. AC1 was a very good game, but i would not classify it as great, but AC2 can change my mind..lets go ubi!
