The summer months are long, hot, and increasingly as of late, brimming full of video games and accessories complementing every sector of the massive industry.‚  Mega-giant Nintendo today solidified details on two more reasons to love the months of June and July.

After much speculation, Nintendo finally cleared the waters and announced that the Wii MotionPlus accessory, on June 8th, and Wii Sports Resort, on July 26th will hit American retailers everywhere.

The WiiMotion plus is a miniscule ornament that attaches to the butt end of the Wii remote and promises to bring true 1:1 motion tracking to the current somewhat inaccurate state of things, but only on specifically designed titles.

Wii Sports Resort, first shown at E3 2008 is the continuation of the original bundled Wii Sports title.‚  This time around the action is set on the beach eschewing the normative tennis and golf for new and more exciting games.‚  Furthermore, Wii Sports Resort is specifically built to make use of the MotionPlus accessory and ramp up the immersion factor to 11.

The Wii MotionPlus accessory will be commercially available on June 8th with an MSRP of $19.99.‚  Another month and then some later, Wii Sports Resort hits shelves, bundled with the aforementioned accessory for a grand total of $49.99.
