Your pockets are deep and your numbers are great, Call of Duty fans.‚  In the first weekend of availability alone (March 19-22nd) the first DLC for Call of Duty: World at War went live and was downloaded one million times over.

Map Pack 1, which featured such multiplayer maps as Nightfire, Knee Deep, Station, and the zombie-filled Verruckt obviously connected with gamers in a way no previous DLC has and speaks to the growing love of all things Duty.

“I’m proud that the team at Treyarch delivered an experience that so many people are enjoying,” said Mark Lamia, Studio Head for Treyarch. “We’re excited that the success of Call of Duty: World at War Map Pack 1 will continue to drive the popularity of the game’s Nazi Zombie mode, competitive multiplayer and chart-breaking success online.”

Treyarch hands back the reigns to Infinity Ward for the now Call of Duty-free title, Modern Warfare 2, set in a present day setting and due out November 10th 2009.
