Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 for the XBox 360 was fun because it was over the top, embracing the concepts that made the series fantastic under Westwood Studios’ control back in the day while sprucing things up a bit with more advanced weaponry and of course, both bears and dolphins of war. The series will be coming to the Playstation 3 in March in a package labeled “Ultimate Edition”, a label that isn’t just being slapped on for kicks.

The graphics are supposed to be improved thanks to the additional time spent on it, and EA is packing the blu-ray disc with loads of extras (videos of bloopers and the girls of Red Alert 3, for example). The game looks to be worth the wait for PS3 fans who want to dive back into Command and Conquers’ alternative timeline universe, and EA has sent us some media from the game to share with you. I’m partial to Lt. Eva McKenna, but you folks might dig the Tesla Coils and futuristic war boats.

Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Ultimate Edition is slated to ship on March 23. Keep your eye out for updates on this title, as it looks like a worthy sequel.

(UPDATE) EA sent along the trailer to the game, so here it is, for your viewing pleasure.
