30-year old NFL free agent Roosevelt Colvin still hasn’t found a place to play for the 2008 season. However, a few teams might be interested in his work.

On May 27, 2008, Colvin mentioned on Sirius NFL Radio that both the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns have been in contact with his agent about adding him to their defenses.

Today the Colts announced that adding Roosevelt to the roster is not out of the question. He last visited Indianapolis in late April.

And the most likely candidate, the Houston Texans, have expressed interest in Roosevelt as well.

“We know he can rush the passer,” Texans coach Gary Kubiak said. “He brings a lot of maturity to your team from a standpoint that he’s been on some great football teams and won a lot of games in this league, a very smart player who has played in a lot of places. I think he would bring some veteran leadership and accountability to our team.”

The New England Patriots released Colvin back in February after failing a physical. In 2007 he played in only 11 games after a foot injury put him on the injured reserve during a game against the Philadelphia Eagles on November 25th.

After writing this and linking all the links I realized I couldn’t care less about him and where he plays. Hopefully, someone else will find this interesting. I think I’m just getting excited for football season. Go, team go!!!
