PITTSBURGH — The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration and local police were executing a federal search warrant this morning when an FBI agent was shot at the scene.

“We are in the process of notifying the agent’s family and will provide more details later today,” the FBI said in a statement.

The FBI specifically points out that early media reports that this incident was associated with a home invasion are actually false.
