Chamberlain arrested on DUI charges

Oct. 19, 2008

There has been a lot of debate and speculation lately about where Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain belongs. Should he be in the starting rotation? Does he belong in the bullpen? Well, how about a jail cell?

Chamberlain was arrested early Saturday morning in Lincoln, Nebraska for allegedly driving under the influence, speeding and having an open container of booze in his car.

Brilliant.

But, it’s not just the lack of judgement as far as whether or not he thought he was ok to drive. When is it a smart move to have an open container in the car?

This is just flat-out stupid.
