PepsiCo, purveyor of sugary Mountain Dew, announced today that the World of Warcraft branded soft drinks will hit shelves this month and run all summer long. So probably until August.
Available in citrus-flavored Horde Red and wild fruit-flavored Alliance Blue these new drinks also come with in-game goodies for veterans and 14-day free trials for noobies.
After you’ve quenched your thirst with your daily allotment of sugar hit up the Mountain Dew/WoW promo site to snag the “Battle-Bot” pet for those already subscribed and the aforementioned 14-day free trial for those longing for the 500+ hour journey that is WoW.
The entire soda promotion begs the question: Can a Horde player drink his/her specifically themed soft drink and converse/interact with/acknowledge/not want to kill anyone drinking the other flavor? Social experiment commence!
Look for these WoW-inspired drinks beginning this month wherever Dew is sold.
