Sad news out of Austin tonight as we’re hearing reports that Lightbox Interactive, the team behind this year’s criminally under appreciated PS3 shooter Starhawk is being hit with layoffs, and possibly facing complete closure. The rumors stem from a tweet sent out by George Broussard, the same industry insider who broke news of previous layoffs at studios such as Popcop and WB Seattle.
We’ve reached out to Sony for comment and will update as soon as we hear back. In the mean time, go play Starhawk.
