E3 2009: The Old Republic MMO features all voice acting, no text

We knew developer BioWare was big on voice acting, just look at any game they’ve ever made, but the forthcoming MMORPG, Star Wars The Old Republic takes the meaning of the word to an entirely new level.

At the Electronic Arts media event this afternoon, BioWare revealed that throughout the entirety of The Old Republic gamers will never read a single line of dialogue text (a la WoW) and instead will be treated to hundreds of thousands of unique voice acting lines.

Never before has such a feat been accomplished in a massively multiplayer online game and is just another reason why this game is one to watch whenever it decides to become available. Here’s the trailer, straight from E3 for your viewing pleasure:
