Cities in Motion 2 Announced for Q2 2013

The cult PC hit, Cities in Motion, is getting a fully fledged sequel early next year. Developer Paradox Interactive unveiled the game just in time for Gamescom, coupled with a trailer and a couple of screenshots.

Cities in Motion was a unique take on the real time city building genre, placing you in charge of public transportation for an already established city. Crafting a functional trolley system for a post WWII Vienna or developing the most advanced subway system in the world for modern day Tokyo was a devilish good time, despite meager sales outside of Europe. With Cities in Motion 2, Paradox hope to reach a wider market with new features like a day and night cycle, growing dynamic cities, and competitive or cooperative multiplayer.

Hopefully, Cities in Motion 2 can pack enough new features to warrant a purchase merely a year after the last expansion for its predecessor was released.
