TOKYO — Shocking news out of Japan this morning as sources close to Nintendo have told Blast Magazine that legendary creator Shigeru Miyamoto has left the company to join its fiercest rival.

Miyamoto, most known for creating such legendary franchises as Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda and Donkey Kong was said to have handed in his notice after what is being described by sources as a “fierce confrontation” with shareholders regarding the 3DS and its effect on the eyes of young Children.

As of this writing Nintendo has yet to issue a statement regarding the situation.

So where does Miyamoto go from Herr? Word is that he’s eying a run with Nintendo rival Sony to work on Move and NGP games. The rumor is that he’s aiming to get a major blockbuster title on shelves for the first of April of next year.
