Last night/early this morning on Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night show, Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski officially announced “Gears of War 3,” chatted with the host about it and gave the world a first glimpse into the gore-fest it is.
The “Gears” trilogy ends/begins April 5, 2011 with “Gears of War 3” with what Bleszinski is calling “the biggest and most dramatic chapter yet in the ‘Gears of War’ saga.”
In the trailer we get a look at some of the game’s new elements; the double barreled shotgun, beards (Dom’s to be exact), female C.O.G.s (Anya is the blonde in the trailer) and massive tentacled behemoths.

I don’t play many games anymore but I will make time for this. At least I have a year to schedule it. That’s pure torture.
