EA Sports Active Gets Sequel, Due Out This Fall

March 10

Somewhat surprisingly, the original EA Sports Active sold very well and like anything that does, it’s getting a sequel.

Due out this coming fall is EA Sports Active 2.0 (a working title) for PS3, Wii, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Active 2.0

Like its rival Wii Fit, it’ll focus on energetic work outs and will incorporate health tracking programs to encourage users to keep fighting the good fight.

The game will have all wireless controls, arm and leg straps with motion sensors, a heart rate monitor and an “online hub” to track and share workout data.

EA Sports Active 2.0 is currently in development by EA Canada in Vancouver. No mention of price or release date was noted.
