Mass Effect 2: Too much awesome for one disc.

Dec. 5, 2009

If you thought Mass Effect 1 was a huge game content-wise, its sequel is going to be even larger, if the number of discs needed is any indication.

BioWare Community Manager Chris Priestly recently revealed on the BioWare forums that the game come with two discs to hold all the game’s content and will require a disc-swap, sometime during the experience.

On Xbox 360 there will be one swappage of discs, but on PC, where the title must be fully installed prior to playing, you won’t have to.

“Even though there is a disc swap, it occurs at a carefully planned place in the game (that does not interfere with gameplay) and is done once,” Priestly said. “You do not swap back and forth. One swap and then done.”

Basically, the game is going to be ginormous, which I’m now being told is not actually a word.
