Activision today announced, and subsequently released, standalone controllers turntables for the newly released, and very well received music-rhythm game DJ Hero.

Available today in the Guitar Hero Store are the $70 standalone pieces of plastic for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Wii, perfectly fit to scratch alongside friends who already purchased the title.

$70 for an instrument seems steep to me, but that’s where Guitar Hero controllers were back in that franchise’s infancy.
