Uncharted 2: It sold a million copies

Nov. 13, 2009

Revealed at the Digital Entertainment Conference in New York City yesterday, was the fact that Naughty Dog’s action/adventure/wondrous title, “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves” has sold over 1 million copies.

The news broke in a mundane fashion with SCEA senior VP of business development Phil Rosenberg simply saying “As of last week, we’ve already sold over a million copies in just a couple of weeks on the market.”

Now, that figure pales in comparison to Modern Warfare 2’s nearly 5 million, not to mention Activision sold that many in just one day, but Uncharted 2 is also a PS3-exclusive and, in my estimation, less marketable than the mainstream FPS Modern Warfare 2.

In any event, Uncharted 2 was one of the best reviewed games we’ve ever seen. And if you missed our review, check it out here.
