Red Dead Redemption hitting April 27

Nov. 26, 2009

Rockstar Games, makers of the impending Wild West shooter “Red Dead Redemption,” had quite an eventful Thanksgiving afternoon.

A leaked trailer for the game hit the web today, complete with a official release date of April 27, 2010, which is well out of the way of such early 2010 releases as God of War III, Bioshock 2, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, and others.

However, the company issued a formal Web press release today and only went as specific as “coming soon,” but really, looks like someone slipped up here, and that April 27 date is pretty much completely accurate.

Rockstar Games also plan to unleash a trailer, the first trailer, for the title next week on Dec. 1, which will likely end with the “coming April 27, 2010″ tag line.
